Three workmen were at my house today. I saw one guy smoking a cigarette. The health advocate came out in me so I decided to take a poll. I told them that I was affiliated with a new company that is revolutionizing the health and wellness industry and would it be okay if I took a poll. Results: 2 out of the 3 took vitamins. The smoker, Ill call him Guy #1- takes Mens One a Day with beta carotene in it. The educator in me came out and I said this * * * You wont believe what I learned through a free health assessment! Did you know that smokers and former smokers should avoid isolated beta-carotene supplements because of evidence that they could increase the risk of lung cancer? Guy #2- health conscious type guy who works out takes a multivitamin at night. I told him this. * * * 90% percent of vitamins, even ones labeled ‘natural’ or ‘food-based’, you see in commercials (Centrum), at drug store chains, grocery chains, membership club stores (Kirkland brand), vitamin stores, and even Whole Foods are synthetic. Almost all vitamin brands are made by a handful of the largest pharmaceutical companies. They are just in different packaging for marketing purposes. Guy #3- the youngest of the bunch. Did not take vitamins. I said this. * * * In a perfect world, how AWESOME would it be if we didnt have to take vitamins?! (The Italian hand gestures started dominating the conversation) We don’t live in the same world that our ancestors did. (The Paleo in me came out) Today we live in a toxic world, with contaminated air and heavily depleted soil. Because of environmental toxicity and soil depletion, crops grown just decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than are the varieties most of us get today. The end result... I have their contact information. They will be taking the health assessment. Bonus...Guy #2 s wife takes a popular weight loss product on the market today (I wont name any names) that is loaded with crap= Winning Saving lives and taking names.
