Three years ago, the drive-in began the biggest improvement project since it opened back in 1952, by installing digital projection on all four screens and building a new snack bar facility with larger restrooms. It was a project we had been planning and saving for since 2001. While we knew the improvements were necessary for the drive-in to survive and continue to provide quality customer service, the scope and cost of the project was daunting. We put our faith in our customers that they would continue to support us, and the next two seasons rewarded that faith with record-breaking attendance. Last season was about 10% below the attendance level of the past two years, but every year cant be a record breaking year, and we were plagued with a late-starting spring combined with a wetter than average summer. Even considering the poor weather, 2014 was a better than average year for us. We have had a lot to be thankful for, especially the tremendous level of support from all of great our patrons.
