Three years ago today we had to say goodbye to you. I still miss you so. You were so much more than just a mother-in-law. You were one of my best friends. Your kindness, your generosity and your sense of humor always helped me see things in a way that only you could make me see them. You gave us all many gifts while you were here with us. Your gentle touch, the warmth of your smile and that laugh that I still hear today when I am feeling sad. So many gifts. But you gave me the greatest gift of all - your wonderful son, my husband and my best friend. You welcomed me into your family in a way that was unexpected by me. Your acceptance of my love for your son and our marriage meant more to me than I was ever able to tell you. I love you Edie and I miss you terribly. I know that you are nearby in the angels among us and you are forever in my heart. You are missed by all of us.
