Through Destination Station, NASA will partner with Girls, Inc. San Diego, a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire girls who are typically underrepresented in the community to be strong, smart and bold. The event will feature a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) panel of experts (two from NASA, two from Sony, and another from a different organization) highlighting women flourishing with STEM careers—and encouraging girls to pursue STEM fields/careers. The panelists will each share their personal, inspirational stories about their own paths to STEM careers and answer questions from the audience. Girls will also learn about the wonders of the International Space Station through collateral materials and exhibit items.
