Through all of my trial and efforts, I am truly reborn. I have a $57,000 scholarship to study mathematics at a top tier educational institution for higher learning...New York University. I have a renewed spirit with vigor and hope. I see beyond the distant shadows of hopelessness and into the Garden of Truth... where my soul is rejuvenated, where time no longer exists, where Love is the Law of the Land. Though today is my birthday, it is all of our birthday. Today is the 4th of July... the day of the birth of our great Nation. may we rise in the spirit of democracy and in the spirit of freedom as we take personal responsibility of our lives and help others. May we open our eyes to reality and recognize that we have the ability to make changes... both inside and outside. Today I stand upon the Rock of Salvation and I boldly declare that miracles do happen... that miracles are real. For those who know me well, you know that Ive been through the depths of darkness...literally. But Jesus Christ saved me and has given me Light. He has shown me the way. He has taught me to love my neighbors, respect authority, and live by faith in Him and Him crucified. He died for my sins, was buried, spent three days in hell, resurrected, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. I hope that my story of redemption serves as a means to prove that changes can happen and that they do happen. May we take advantage of every precious breath that we have and be sure to love our neighbors as ourselves and to recognize that every human life is valuable.
