Through bitter cold we traversed across several miles of the Kentucky landscape. We arrived finally, at the previously arranged destination. Warmth once again introduced, our minds and bodies began to relax. Familiarity with long missed friends upon our arrival became the new order of the evening.Music filled the air and our ears adding a pleasant tone to the atmosphere. Jack, Molly, and, Lesley were performing a delightful tune, as they checked their instruments and other equipment for proper sound levels. Finding a space to accommodate our large party, we all made ourselves comfortable. We began to think about food, and soon a server was there to ask us about drinks. I, myself, anxiously awaited the arrival of Alice, my love. The wait was not long, and with a warm embrace and several kisses, we greeted each other. Eventually making our way back to join our friends, she was greeted with delightful smiles and even more hugs. More songs from Watersprite, filled the room with cheer,as I made my way to and from the buffet. Awhile later their set finished, Jack and company left the stage to lively applause, and began to mingle amongst friends and family. Next to take the stage was Tuatha Dea ! There was a low roar of excitement, from long time fans in anticipation of the performance. A few songs and stories later and Alice, Richard, Joetta, I, and several others could no longer resist the call to dance. And dance we did! Glorious revelry, ensued and lasted several hours, the cold outside long forgotten, now replaced by heat of bodies in motion. The band played old favorites and introduced a few new songs. After each song, the collective cry seemed to be Just one more! Filled with magnificent festive energy, the restaurant had become a full on party! Alas, nothing lasts forever. The restaurant was closing, the bands and revelers had become worn out, and it was time to make our way home. The concert was over, but the fun of the night lingered on long after. I spent some extra time bidding Alice a good night with kisses and hugs. It took awhile to say goodbyes, but finally, and a bit reluctantly, we made our way. On my way home, I noticed a the beauty of the crescent moon. I wondered if she hadnt shared some of herself and her energy with us. I like to think so. Home at last, I settled in and let myself rest and begin to recover. I reflected on a room full of friends and music and laughter, and noticed that I was still beaming :) What a wonderful night! Although I have some aches and pains, well and truly earned. I am as I type this still
