Through teary eyes and with a heart full of joy I want to share that my youngest warrior stepped out in courage and faith and volunteered to pray for a man outside of a restaurant we had eaten at. He had offered to pray before we walked up with the food, so I told the man that my son would like to pray for him if that was ok. He said yes. I wish you all could have seen what I saw, and heard what I heard. My little man, all of 8 years old, stepped forward, put one hand in his pocket and the other hand on the gentlemans arm...he bowed his head and the most beautiful thing came out of his spirit. Had to have been. Ive never heard such a thing come from his mouth. He prayed that God would help him find a home, that he would have food through the night and that he would have a comfortable place to sleep tonight. From the moment he boldly stepped forward and placed his hand on that mans arm so gently, I was silently sobbing. I couldnt control the tears. Please dont get me wrong here....though I am a proud mother my boast here is IN THE LORD.... WHO IS ABLE TO DO INFINITELY MORE THAN WE MIGHT ASK OR THINK. Dont think for one moment that kids cant do what grownups or mature Christians can. They are warriors from the moment of birth. Train your babes up in the way that they should go. Its never too early....and as Im learning - its never too late. :)
