Throughout my career I have heard the expression, I sure miss the good old days! This was a typical response for whenever someone was asked to do something that required a lot of work or they lacked the money to buy something for their unit. Now that I am older and have been around awhile, I can truly say I dont miss, The good old days. Those days are gone because times have changed either for the better or worse. Also, decisions have been made that have required us to tighten our belts or forced us to learn from our mistakes. Now-a-days we are working smarter and by looking for ways to stamp out inefficiencies. Times have changed and it is up to all of us to protect our limited resources and ensure our Air Force is always ready to project dominant Air Power any time, any place. During a time of force reduction, it’s hard to see the bright side. In this commentary Maj. Phillips from the 7th Contracting Squadron, highlights why this is indeed the best time to lead.
