Throughout the day, Borough Parking Enforcement Officers have been placing notices on vehicles parked on Snow Emergency Routes notifying them of the Winter Storm Emergency and the need to remove vehicles from these Routes. Please be advised that once plowing operations begin in earnest this evening, vehicles that remain parked on these Routes will be ticketed and towed. With the anticipated snowfall added to the accumulation already on the ground, it is critical that snow plowing crews have the ability to plow and salt these routes unimpeded. The voluntary removal of parked vehicles where possible from other Borough streets will also greatly aid crews in their snow fighting efforts, and ultimately benefit everyone. Vehicles left on public streets throughout the storm will create traffic, parking, and emergency access problems into next week if not addressed now. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. As a reminder, the following Borough streets are designated as snow emergency routes: -Broad Street (West side) between State Street and Main Street -East Ashland Street (South side) between Main Street and State Street -East Court Street (North side) between Main Street and Swamp Road -East Oakland Avenue (South side) between Main Street and State Street -East State Street (North side) between Maple Avenue and Main Street -Green Street (East side) between Scout Way and Ashland Street -North Main Street (West side) between State Street and Union Street -Shewell Avenue (Both sides) between the Firehouse and Main Street -South Main Street (Both sides) between State Street and Oakland Avenue -West Ashland Street (South side) between Main Street and Washington Street -West Court Street (North side) between Main Street and Memorial Drive -West Oakland Avenue (South side) between Clinton Street and Main Street -West State Street (North side) between Main Street and Lafayette Street -All culs-de-sac
