Throw Back Thursday-Hattie and I would like to show you the amazing transformation of her life from Shelter Dog to Hearing Dog We would like to raise awareness of the miracles that Dogs for the Deaf creates by rescuing shelter dogs and then training them to become these amazing service dog companions. The first picture is Hatties Intake picture at Dogs for the Deaf. This is what she looked like when she was adopted from the shelter. Hattie had an extremely rough start to life. Her first two families were not kind to her, nor did they take good care of her. Hattie was severely underweight, her coat was brittle and rust colored and she had numerous health issues that needed dealt with as a result of neglect. One of the most serious health concerns for Hattie, was Coccidia. After a ton of love, TLC and quality care from the vet and staff and Dogs for the Deaf the next picture is Hatties amazing transformation into the beautiful Chocolate Lab Hearing Dog she is today. Thank you Dogs for the Deaf for believing in Hattie and for giving her a second chance at life. THIS is one of the MANY reasons why I love Dogs for the Deaf SO MUCH! They RESCUE shelter dogs, train them and then place them with individuals like myself. Hattie has not only gone through an amazing transformation thanks to Dogs for the Deaf but because of Hattie coming into my life, I too have gone through an amazing transformation myself.
