Throw-back Sunday. I heard the Happy Goodmans at an all-day singing at Keith Baptist Church, my extended familys home church near Ringgold, in about 1966 or 67 or so, when I was age 11 or 12 . It was the first time I had ever heard amplified music in a church, or anywhere else. My memory is LOUD. VERY LOUD. Her hair was TALL. VERY TALL. And she was LARGE. VERY LARGE. They had glitter in their clothes and they smiled too much.
