Throwback Thursday: Last year a few months ago i was in a shelter with all three of my babies. They made us leave everyday by 7 am and had an 8pm curfew, they took away our phones at bedtime and we couldnt even stay out on weekends. Very few knew because i ALWAYS kept a smile on my face. Almost every night i lay in my bed crying because my pride was hurt and i didnt understand how i got there. I was at my lowest and i kind of felt like i failed my babies because they didnt deserve that. The icing on the cake was the one person i counted on to be there abandoned us and simply hoped we got out of our situation in due time. The day after my last day at the shelter was my first day as a Medical Assistant. A year later, i have a permanent job in my field, my own house, will be starting back to school soon for my RN and soon i will have my car. Literally, every day that i come home from work and step foot in my front door i say, God, i appreciate you. Though it hurt, it was a humbling experience and i am forever grateful to God for completely turning things around for me and my babies ♥♥♥
