Throwback Thursday #tbt: The 24th F3A World Championship for FAI RC Aerobatics was held in St. Yan, France, August 20-27, 2005. Brian Clemmons wrote about the event in the April 2006 issue of Model Aviation. The US contingent consisted of Jason Shulman, Sean McMurtry, and Chip Hyde, as well as team manager Bryan Hebert, and Brian Clemmons as assistant manager. Christophe Paysant-Le Roux from France won the Individual trophy that year; Chip Hyde placed fourth; Jason Shulman sixth; and Sean McMurtry placing 12th. Japan won the Team competition, with USA coming in second, and Liechtenstein third. How did the USA fare in the 2013 F3A World Championship in South Africa?
