Throwing this question out to regular viewers of this page. I am thinking of moving I Lift My Eyes Ministries interaction on Facebook to an open group, rather than a Page. Several years ago, Facebook pressured Non-profit groups to move to Pages in order to reach their long-term goals of getting more advertising dollars. I dont fault them, Facebook is a business and not a charity. However, not all Page owners are businesses or the Pages of famous people who already have a huge fan base. In order for every day Page owners to have any interaction with those that like the page, we have to become increasingly annoying to our followers by begging that you like us in order that you can see the content you want to see. OR we have to pay advertising fees in order to boost YOUR chances of seeing our posts on your newsfeed. I dont have a fund to do this, I need to use ministry funds for other things. When I do boost a post, that post goes from maybe 1 percent of the almost 3700 likers of this page seeing the post, to about 15 percent. You have more of a chance of seeing Group interactions of Nonprofits such as I Lift My Eyes as a regular viewer on Facebook than you do seeing posts on a Page. Would you be interested in migrating to a group? I boosted this post - costing me about 20.00 in order that you have a better chance of seeing this, just to give you an idea how expensive it is to boost a post. Please respond below
