Thrush is caused by an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, a bacteria - TopicsExpress

Thrush is caused by an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, a bacteria within the body. It is always present and is part of our healthy gut flora, but when the body becomes out of sink.. it can take advantage and starts to thrive and take over! If you suffer from regular thrush, it is very likely that your gut flora will be imbalanced too, and the symptoms that show are what we know as thrush. The bacteria within the vagina can be balanced with pessaries but use of thrush medication can actually make things worse long term. Natural options are... garlic - eating and also using a clove as a pessary, tea tree, lavender, coconut oil, bio yogurt works for some and herbs as a douche work well such as calendula, lavender, tea tree. The thing with regular thrush is that there is a deeper cause, and will have to be looked at, diet needs to be monitored, and lifestyle too. Cut out sugar firstly and many other things need to be addressed. (not enough space here). Probiotics are a must! Gut cleanses are also very important. Herbs work to tone and cleanse the liver and kidneys to remove toxic waste that the candida throw out as they are being killed off. This is called die off. Please get in touch for a consultation if you would like more info! x
