Thursday 13.11.14 TEAM MBP HEADS TO LAE A number of codes have departed Alotau for Lae, Morobe Province to get settled in for the official opening ceremony and more importantly their competitions next week at the 6th PNG Games. An advance party departed on Sunday and have begun receiving codes as of Wednesday this week. The rest move out next week for the same. They were given an official send off that coincided with the opening of the 11th National Kenu and Kundu Festival on Saturday. Governor Titus Philemon marched alongside the team in a parade through Alotau town accompanied by Tura the Kokoma- the 2015 SP Games mascot. He handed them the Milne Bay flag and reminded them that they are ambassadors of the province and to do us proud. They will return the flag upon completing their participation in the games in Lae. Team Milne Bay will defend its gold in mens soccer and a silver in singles women darts, medals attained in the last games in Kokopo in 2012.
