Some people feel because of their rank and status they can do as they please. Nebuchadnezzar, being King was influenced to build an image of himself, which was to be worshipped by every single person in the land at the sound of music. Satan comes in every opportunity and takes every chance he can get to set you up. Therefore, we must keep our eyes and ears spiritually open so we can avoid falling into the enemy’s traps. Nebuchadnezzar called together all the people to dedicate the image, there will be many times where we will be set up to bow to the enemy but we must hear what God is saying. Satan will always make the sin look exciting so you can give in – he will do anything just to see you fall but do not bow! Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego made the bold choice not to bow even though the penalty for that was to be thrown into a fiery furnace. They did not even need to argue or plead their case with Nebuchadnezzar because they knew the God they served was well able to deliver them, and even if it meant they would suffer an excruciating death, they will not bow. We must not fight flesh with flesh, God will fight our battles for us. He always takes care of His own. The darts that the enemy sends has no power or authority over us when God is in our life. God strengthens those who want to live for Him. Live by faith and not by sight, like these 3 Hebrew boys demonstrated – faith in the one and only all powerful and awesome God!!!
