Thursday 14 August 2014 Reading: Proverbs 11:27 If you search for good, you will find favour; but if you search for evil, it will find you! Reflection: There is so much bad news in the world today. We always hear of the bad things, the things that make us sad, and the things that are so evil. It seems as though those in charge of the news we hear always look for the negative and the sad, the depressing and the heartbreaking! Today, let me encourage you to look for the good. In the last few weeks I have seen people giving thanks for things in their lives for a few days. They had to find something for which they were thankful – they went looking for the good! They went looking for those things that were building their faith, restoring the positive things in their lives! I really found this so intriguing! They were searching for good, and found favour in the things that they were thankful for. Ultimately we will find what we are searching for. If we search for more of God and more goodness in this world, we will find that. God does not hide away from us, He says that if we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him. If we hunger and thirst for more of God, He will come to us! Can I encourage you to stay away from evil, and pursue that which is good and pure, that love that build us up and encourages us to be more that we think we can be! I wish you happy searching today!
