Thursday, 25th July REJOICE TODAY AND ALWAYS! “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24) Joy is a fruit, rejoicing is a choice. The world is full of darkness and gloom. But Jesus has called us out of the world into His kingdom. So though we live in this world, we are not of this world. Therefore refuse to live a dull life. The Christian life is that of joy and rejoicing. Romans 14:17 says our Kingdom is that of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Joy in the Holy Ghost! This has nothing to do with being a person of charisma, but being filled with the Spirit and the word. When you rejoice, you set up an atmosphere for miracles in your life. And that’s a secret the early Church knew, no wonder they were a joyful people. Peter described it as “Joy unspeakable and full of glory.” (1 Pet. 1:8). So joy causes the glory to increase in your life. Hallelujah! Beloved, this is your day of rejoicing! You don’t need a comedian or people to make you happy. All you need is the Holy Spirit and you have Him, so rejoice! God doesn’t enjoy the company of dull Christians, rejoice! Stop trying to picture God as an old Man with beards. He is young and ever-rejoicing. Do you know the Bible says that God rejoices, He sings and celebrates with joy (Zeph. 3:17). Some Christians are too reserved to be blessed. They are too gentle to praise, worship and rejoice or even shout in joy. But you are different! Do you know sometimes you need to shout! Psalms 47:1 says “O clap your hands, all ye people; SHOUT unto God with the voice of triumph.” God lives in your praises. So don’t wait for the worship service. Make this your lifestyle, a life of rejoicing and an atmosphere for miracles will surround you. Prayer: Father I thank you for the revelation of your word. I’m excited about your word, I rejoice over your love and I’m so grateful for your goodness towards me. This is my day of joy and rejoicing, the day the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it, Hallelujah! Further Insight: Psalm 100:1-5; Philippians 4:4 Study Plan: 1 Kings 10-11
