Thursday, 3/27/14: Whew! Last night was sizzling in more ways than one! Headed over the bridge with Sir Howard for some tongue tingling spicy delicacies at Kasa Indian Eatery, then turned up the heat even further with some hot rockin tunes at the Hemlock! We got there just in time for Gravys Drop to get my motor running with a mastery of the sounds that drive me wild! They encapsulated many of my favorite styles, sometimes all in the same song! Then it was time to The Shanghais, who I hadnt seen before, but were also quite thrilling! Pop garage punk bubblegum goodness, and I think the lead singer was dancing just as hard as I was! Then it was time for Dan Sartain (also my first time seeing live) to melt our faces off! I knew I was in for something special when he opened with a rousing rendition of My Ding-a-ling, and I was right! Stripped down, soul scorching guitar and vocals and the hard driving beats that got my hips moving! Yes yes yes! Such a great show, it felt good to dance my ass off once again! It was wonderful to see some familiar faces and also to meet some lovely new people! And now Ive got My Ding-a-Ling running on a constant low level loop in my head!
