Thursday: A very challenging and sad day. Kerry helped Jackson, Ayrub and David bury their mother. With no family to help bury her Kerry and Footprints had to make all the arrangements. It was a tough day - in Kenya family are left to collect the body from the mortuary and are left to dress the body. Kerry and a couple of the house mothers had to perform these tasks. Kerry arranged for the purchase of a coffin and find a site for the burial. Jackson, Ayrub and David were supported in saying their farewells to their mother. It was a very emotional time for them, for Kerry and the other Footprints staff. At least Mum knew that her boys where in a loving and caring place and would have a future.... Our thoughts and prayers were with them all....
