Thursday April 17, 2014 The Lord told Gideon, With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home. (NLT) ( Judges 7:7 ) Why would God lead Gideon into battle with an army of only 300 men against an army of 135,000 Midianites? Gideon placed his trust in the Lord even against overwhelming odds. When you feel that the odds are against your favor and the Lord is leading you into battle, remember Gideon. He went on to victory because he dutifully followed the Lord. When you feel the odds are stacked against you, could God be using you to demonstrate His strength? I needed this devotion more than anyone. We all face our own battles every day and we usually dont understand the reason God puts us through them. But God has a reason and a purpose and we need to thank Him and trust in him because He will certainly carry us through them. God Bless you.
