Thursday (January 22, 2015) TOUCHED Read: Mark 3:7-12 Reflect: Is there anything holding you back from reaching out to others and allowing God to touch you without fear or reservation? Jesus offered freedom to everyone who sought him out. The recent visit of Pope Francis, he reminded us that Jesus never abandons us. The Lord is with us and goes before us. In todays Gospel, wherever Jesus went the people came to him because they had heard about all the wonderful deeds and miracles which he performed. They were hungry for God and desired healing from their afflictions. In faith they pressed upon Jesus to touch him. As they did so power came from Jesus and they were healed. We are touched by God with the recent visit of the pope. God will continue touching us through the people we love and we met. Let us then all the more be sensitive to Gods presence in daily events of our lives. Indeed, Gods healing touch is in our midst. We all need His touch and healing. Allow God to touch you and to heal you. Do you seek to lay hold of Jesus presence in your life that he may touch and heal you? Resolve: Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Son of God, touch my life and the lives of all. Inflame my heart with a burning love for you and with an expectant faith in your saving power. Set me free from all that hinders me from drawing closer to you.
