Thursday, January 8, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Oakland Parks & Recreation (OPR) is hosting its last Community Focus Group in District 6 at Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center, located at 7701 Krause Avenue. At the meetings, City staff invites positive feedback, constructive criticism and creative solutions to challenges faced by OPR. The community also has the opportunity to speak directly with OPR staff and members of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission (PRAC). Topics discussed at this meeting include creating revenue stream and impact fees, capital improvements and maintenance, grilling in parks, sports programming and community gardening.
