Thursday, November 6, 2014 Strength For Your Day Exodus 14:13-14 “Moses answered the people, Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” The Israelites had been in bondage in Egypt, and God delivered them out of the hands of Pharaoh, and led them to the shores of the Red Sea. Pharaoh decided to go after the Israelites, and when the Israelites saw the Egyptians coming they cried out to the Lord, Why? The impassable Red Sea before them, the Egyptians behind them, no where to go, imminent destruction loomed over them. Have you found yourself in that place of being stuck in the middle between a rock and a hard spot? No where to go, no where to turn, crying out to God...WHY? Why me Lord? What have I done to deserve all this? We give God options, make a way of escape, or destroy that which is trying to destroy us. That is what the Israelites did. God is so good, so loving, so providing, pouring out His blessing that we cannot contain them all, if we will wait, be patient, stand firm in our faith and trust in Him. God not only made a way of escape for the Israelites, He also destroyed the enemy who pursued them. What God did for the Israelites, He can do for you. “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today.” God will, if He has not already, given you a way out, and God will destroy the enemy so that they/it will not be seen by you again. The battle is not yours, it is God’s, the victory is yours. Claim it, believe it, trust it. What You Need is a Relationship with God, Not a Religion about God: Today: Is the day of your salvation. Today: Is the day to make yourself right with God. Today: If you have heard God’s voice, do not harden your heart against Him. Today: Surrender to God and walk in His ways. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine on you and show you His favor. May the Lord lift up His face toward you and give you peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
