Thursday Tips – Resistance training Top Tips ‘Resistance Training’ can take many forms; from traditional barbell and dumbbell work to weights machines and resistance bands. Even using your bodyweight can create resistance training effects if you go about it in the right way! *PROPER PREPARATION PREVENTS POOR PERFORMANCE!* -Make sure you know what you are trying to accomplish with each exercise (What muscles are you trying to work? What are your training goals? Strength? Growth? Endurance? Explosive Power?) -Make sure your technique is up to scratch! You should know how to set up your body; before, during and after each repetition! -For help with the above please ask one of our knowledgeable Sports Assistants or Personal Trainers!
