Thursday am early...Im always amazed at how God gets His Work done down here on earth....were surrounded by millions of people who are self centered and self motivated and are interested in one thing...Self!...and yet here we are...The body of Christ...a tiny fraction of a movement thats 2000 years old dedicated to serving others....to putting others first...forget falling prey to the latest fad in the spiritual supermarket....were dedicated solely in engaging the brokenness of our world....I know youve heard it many times...but I cant say it enough...I have a pilgrimage experience every Wednesday nite without having to leave the US and travel to far away places and work along side Mother Theresa...Its possible to discover that the crucified and risen Christ can meet with us right where we are when we help those who suffer....The Weekly Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope is at 201 Center Ave every Wed nite at 7 pm in Room 408....AKA The Jurusulum Encounter...[I changed the name from Jurusulum Class to Jurusulum Encounter...its grown to more than a class] Were all beginners when it comes to a real life of compassion...I admit I have often been deaf to human cries around me...and blind to those in desperate need...without a doubt my greatest shortcomings have come from failure to love....but in spite of all my screw ups and stupid behavior...when it comes to my life of compassion and my limited understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ in this world of suffering....I have been so blessed and totally enriched by the place that God has put me in over the past 7 years. My prayer is that you can find it too...Right where you are....Its there...You just havent looked hard enough....Get involved in Gods work and only then can you truly understand On earth as it is in Heaven....Get a glimpse from earth....LYFBF.
