Thursday, happy New Years to everyone. A friend told me the year 2015 would be a miracle year. Through it all, we know it was a miracle by Gods Grace that we even still have Doug! He opened his eyes several times today when asked. Jimmy Dale had asked if his teeth were okay, which I had never thought about. With the tubes, I truly didnt know. Misty decided to check and ask him to open his mouth, He did several times with no problems. (Teeth were okay) of course he tires very quickly. We spoke with the Neuro surgeon today and he told us we could expect to see little improvements and signs after the sedation had been off. He has not had any sedation since 7 this morning. He also stated that movements he observed were purposeful which is awesome. AND, He said he feels the trauma to the brain was not real severe. All testing looked good and that he was very optimistic about Dougs outcome. What a PRAISE! Dougs temp is staying down and when it starts up a Tylenol takes it back down. Prayers: Blood Pressure to stay down, may increase as he feels more pain More improvements as he becomes more awake Pain He is still intubated, but I know that will come in Gods timing. People in waiting areas have chosen to join us at times throughout the day. One lady said she enjoyed our family and it was very easy to tell what kind of family we were. Its nice to share our faith with other hurting people here in ICU. Jeremiah 17:14. Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me and I shall be saved, for You are my PRAISE. Thank you Lord, for You are our praise. We know that by His stripes we are healed!
