Thursday while we were at Davids physical therapy appointment, David asked his therapist what he thought of David giving up his crutches. Earlier that day David had told me he wants to try and go all the time without them. Hes scared. He still is in tremendous pain on contact. You can touch his leg. Vibration is very painful. He has been walking on his leg without the crutches all day today. He said it feels like he has broken glass in his sock. Thats a horrible part of recovering with RSD. He has to go through the pain to heal. It really sucks! But still, he doesnt complain! Hes determined to walk without pain, to have balance, and be able to play baseball again. His drs and therapists have told us they are amazed at his progress. They said they thought it would be well over a year before they saw him at this stage. But they dont know my son!!! :) He sets his mind to do something, and he will! I cant wait to see him out on the ball field again with all his friends!
