Thursdays Readings & Devotions: John 4:1-26, 39-42 Q: As a Jew, Jesus was crossing cultural lines to talk with the Samaritan woman. Do you only open up about your faith with people who fit a criteria that you’ve established? Who did Jesus die for on the cross? Everyone? Or just those you think are worth it? Q: Verse six tells us she came at a time when the well would not be busy and she could avoid people. When things are rough, do you avoid people? When youve strayed away from Gods will for your life, is it easy to just avoid church or other Christians? Q: Even though the Samaritan woman was avoiding people, Jesus went to her, in her low moment and reached out. Do you look out for friends and family who are struggling and reach out to them? Do you see other Christians slipping away from church and fellowship with believers and go to them to encourage them? Do you bring hope, joy and encouragement to the people around you?
