Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, ...For the customs of the people are vain, Jeremiah 10:2-3. Whether it is raw idolatry or subtile subversion, God demands that we do not follow the examples or the counsel of those who are not ruled by the Word of God. That should be interpreted to include all those who do not teach and practice the CORE DOCTRINES of the Bible: the Oneness of God, the New Birth (Water baptism in Jesus name and Spirit baptism, speaking in tongues), and holiness. If we study and learn the ways of heretics, we are betraying both God and ourselves.
