Thus says the Lord God of Israel to you Oh Baruch. You said, Woe is me now for the Lord has added grief to my sorrow, I fainted in my sighing and I find no rest. Thus you shall say to him; Thus says the Lord; Behold what I have built, I will break down. What I have planted I will pluck up, that is the whole land. AND DO YOU SEEK GREAT THINGS FOR YOURSELF? DO NOT SEEK THEM FOR BEHOLD i WILL BRING ADVERSITY ON ALL FLESH., SAYS THE LORD. BUT I WILL GIVE YOUR LIFE TO YOU AS A PRIZE IN ALL PLACES WHEREVER YOU GO. COMMENTARY: In the time the truth that God reveals to men by the coming of the Holy Spirit there is great adversity. Adversity like a human nature which seeks to be significant and secure is common to all men. There is not a man who has lived who has not faced the mirror in the abyss. There is a time in which a man looks at himself and wonders as he is fearfully and wonderfully made, what am I doing? Who am I and what am I doing here? There are many adversities; sickness, poverty, death of loved ones, divorce, loss of employment, isolation, alienation, accidents, reversals of fortune, the crap shoot of the genetic pool, disappointments and on and on and on. Even Solomon the wealthiest and most powerful man who ever lived wrote; I denied myself nothing my eyes saw. IT WAS ALL VANITY A BLOWING IN THE WIND. All men wonder about doing great things but the scripture clearly informs you; DO NOT SEEK THEM. If you seek these great things believing or having confidence that they are in your best interests, when the days of evil descend upon you and I promise they will, these great things are a defense in a war they cannot fight. For the war is not against flesh blood but of the spirit which is willing to reveal to you that which answers your questions by revealing to you the unseen things by which all things seen are made. The Kingdom of heaven is not a kingdom of words, or singing, or praying. The Kingdom of Heaven is not of this world. It is a Kingdom of powers. of principalities and rulers of darkness and when it is revealed to you when you are broken hearted and contrite of mind, it will be on your lips and in your heart. The transformation of your nature from one no better than the beast to a son and child of God who lives by the knowledge revealed by the bringer of all truth, the Holy Spirit of God, makes a man wise about the things of heaven and through this he comes to understand the seasons and judgments of God who never does anything to harm anyone but to profit them in faith. And to he who endures and contends for faith more will be given to him and to he who has little less shall be given him. Do not waste your time seeking money and influence in the time the truth can be found for these things will gather rust. If you are double minded seeking these things and vainly praying to God for great things, you will be unstable in all things to your own regret. Man ought not to ask God questions nor ought he ask for things for the God who created all things seen and unseen, KNOWS OF WHAT YOU HAVE NEED. BE CIRCUMSPECT IN THE WORLD FOR YOU ARE IN THE WORLD AND CANNOT CHOOSE WHEN YOU LEAVE IT FOR NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS. TODAY HAS ENOUGH TROUBLE OF ITS OWN. WITHOUT ADVERSITY, NO ONE WOULD CONSIDER GOD. YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT GOD CREATED YOU AND AT EVERY FUNERAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO SOMEONE SAYS; THE DECEASED HAS RETURNED HOME TO GOD. BUT GOD ONLY KNOWS THOSE WHO HAVE MADE THE PERFECT OFFERING GIVING UP HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS WHICH ARE HIS BLOODLINE AS JESUS DID FOR ALL OF HIS BLOODLINE. THIS IS THE SIGNIFICANCE AND SECURITY YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AND DESCENDANTS WILL OFFER TO YOU FOR YOUR OFFERING YOUR LIFE WHICH IS TIME IN A BODY CONCERNING YOURSELF WITH SIGNIFICANCE AND SECURITY FOR EVERLASTING SECURITY AND SIGNIFICANCE AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD.
