Tick Fever or Ehrlichiosis is a common blood disease of the dog and occasionally found in people. The disease is transmitted by Rihipicephalus Sanguineus tick. The tick ingests the organism when feeding on an infected host and transmits the disease to subsequent dogs that it feeds upon. The incubation period is 7-21 days. This adopted dog named Xylo was brought to Jeev Aashrya hospital today. He was suffering tick fever shooting temperature up to 105°c. Dr. Surya treated him and gave him the suitable medication. We wish him speedy recovery.
