The only time I have seen one off to enjoy any freedom was when the older one chewed free and ran terrified from a group of about 10 hysterically excited children it lashed out and bit the boy who yanked it by the string around its neck. The owner caught it and chained it up. I have never seen the owners show them any affection I do not know why they keep them as an enslaved pet. Not much of an enjoyable life they really have no quality of life. They have been there for at least a year.
