Tiger varsity volleyball played a great tournament on Saturday. The tournament was divided into 3 phases. In Phase 1 pool Play Tigers lost to Covenant Christian 14-25, 18-25, a very tough match. Then lost to Hasting 18-25, 19-25. In Phase II Allegan lost to Martin in 12-25, 25-27 and beat Fennville 25-17, 26-24 for their only match win of the night. In Phase III (bracket play) Tigers lost in round 1 to Allendale in the 3rd set 25-22, 20-25 and 13-15, a close match and a hard loss for the Tigers. Top players of the day-kills Marjorie Mae Jones 2, Zoe Lang, Jaime Scane and Serena Luke each with 3, Alex Archer 8, Kylie DeKryger 21, Brianna Leggett 22, and Mackenzie Sturman 23. Special offensive mention to Lexi Ward with 10 attacks and 2 kills in the match against Allendale with a total of 16 attacks and 4 kills for the day. Aces – Marjorie Mae Jones 4 and Kylie DeKryger 11 for the day. Digs – Marjorie Mae Jones 14, Kara Bishop 13, Zoe Lange 16, Kylie DeKryger 9, Jaime Scane 38, Bri Leggett 31.
