Tim Dorsett, 76, of Hamptonville passed away on Sunday, December 07, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born on September 18, 1938 to the late Clyde and Lillian Nelson Dorsett. Tim preached for Helping Hands and ministered to prisons and nursing homes as well as the Winston Salem Rescue Mission. He demonstrated unconditional love for all and never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dorsett was preceded in death by a brother Jimmy Dorsett and two sisters Barbara Ann Watson and Betty Barber and Granny Margie Welborn. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Anita Johnson Dorsett, three sons: Timothy Dorsett and wife Sharon of Hamptonville, Jason Dorsett and wife Angie of Lexington, and Ronnie Hicks and wife Bonni of Hamptonville, a daughter Susan Hall and husband Troy of Elkin, a sister Lillie Poole of Salisbury; fourteen grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends: Wanda Matthews, Mike McCollum, John and Gail Allen, and other youngin Carla Higgins as well as a great grandchild on the way. Funeral Services for Mr. Dorsett will be held on Tuesday December 9th, 2014 at 2pm at Faith Baptist Church of Elkin with Pastor James Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at Huff Funeral Home of East Bend. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church or to the donor’s choice.
