Timberline is a pretty cool place to ride for some old school - TopicsExpress

Timberline is a pretty cool place to ride for some old school natural gnar...surprised it isnt frequented more often. Granted, no rental fleet so you need your own rig, but not too much in the realm of beginner runs anyway. Lift pass = $25...pretty cheap. Lots of cool hand built trails and features...enough to keep things very interesting for any rider...and it is kept pretty naturally rocky. Some really nice steeps if you enjoy slow techy stuff (like A and B at SS). They use their space and vert well, so runs dont feel too short and features arent too tightly packed. Meager lodging, but super cheap ($23.40 for a night in the bunkhouse) and the staff is as chill as it gets about camping out wherever is clever...car, tent, etc. Trails were a little overgrown across the slopes...probably just need more traffic. Lift can be slow if busy as it is not a detachable lift, but today 3 of us were the only ones on the mountain so abou 17min for 1000 vertical feet. Good times overall. If you havent been, I say go and check it out.
