Time To Name Sponsors Of Insurgency In Nigeria. The Bf109 are amongst the latest fighter jets in the world. Their advent made the era of F19s look like kiddie play. The Nigerian government can deploy millions of these jets to its airspace and continue unabatedly to flush out insurgents hiding whether in the Sambisa forests or the high mountains of Cameroun. The fact, however, is that the battle to eliminate insurgency is not one to be accorded a half measure – as the raids will portend. If the Jonathan administration is serious at fighting insurgency it must cut the evil tree from the roots and that entails revealing the sponsors of insurgents in the country as well as their foreign collaborators. President Jonathan cannot say that he does not have intelligence on these persons. I am however, made to understand that ‘2015 politics’ is the main reason why he has decided to look away. Unfortunately, these ‘look away’ continues to cost us billions of naira in terms of lives and property. There just must be a time when the president must act, there just must be a time to draw the battle lines and it can never be farther than now. If the president does not think that the human losses and wanton destruction of properties that insurgency has cost us is not enough to declare full blown war against insurgency, let the aspersions being cast on his person and government by both nationals and the international community be the reason to. It is time to reveal these names no matter whose ox is gored as the dictates of the time suggests no friend in this business!
