Time Warner Cable is driving me insane. First they turned off my phones and Internet in my back office because I was late on one bill when I had my elbow surgery. Ive been trying for over 4 weeks to get the service turned back on, without success. I must have called and gone through the phone tree over 10 times. First I called and set everything up and then when nothing happened, called and found out that they canceled the order because of a lack of a third party authorization. So I went through the whole set-up again and this time was transferred to the third party authorization (it took four calls for them to get it right, but the agent was persistent this time). Then some new modems came. I plugged them in and no signal. So I called up and they said they had to schedule a time to install -- in another 10 days. I begged them to come earlier, but they didnt. They were supposed to come on Wednesday to turn it on. I checked Thursday and no signal. So I called and they said they had turned it on. But after repeated calls and transfers (one time they transferred me but the person who picked up couldnt hear me, so I had to start over with the phone tree), they could not get the lines to work, and then set up an appointment for today. Today, they did not call or come, but rescheduled the appointment for next week. Ive been on the phone with them for 45 minutes and all they will tell me is the order was set up wrong. When I ask how it was wrong, they wont tell me. I wish I could sue them. Has anyone ever filed a complaint with the PUC? Can anything be done about this? It is driving me nuts. Not the first time, either. I remember 14 years ago when we lived in Mandeville and the installer kept canceling because it required going in a crawl space. So we had to lie and say there was no crawl space before we could trick a technician into coming to install the phones. Had similar problems setting up Pams gallery phones. Why is it so hard to turn on a phone and start paying them? And why did they turn off my phones in the first place, when they know I have several other accounts and could easily have called me about the one overdue bill? The whole thing is so infuriating.
