Time for Marc`s RANT of the week. Catherine went to a farmers market today, and while I won`t tell you where, or who was involved. I must tell of the terrible misrepresentation of people at a farmers market I have ever heard of. Now we have several friends and customers that do go to farmers market, and do a great job selling quality items and the like. What Catherine found today were people selling products that were not made or grown by them. People selling honey that owned no bee`s and stating it was all local grown, and was selling honey from orange groves. Seen any orange groves in Illinois? Then someone else selling soap that had no idea what was in it or how it was made. And then a person selling meat that had no idea what kind of cattle they raised or what they were fed. I ask you all that shop at farmers markets to ask questions, and lots of them. If they can`t answer them, or avoid answering them. They are probably not on the up and up, and have no idea how the product or item was raised, made, marketed, handled, hauled, and packaged. So I will now jump down from my soap box, but I ask you all to find out where the things you buy are coming from.
