Time for a.....Book Challenge! Nominated by: Michael Denna In your status, list 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Dont take more than a few minutes and dont think too hard. They dont have to be the right books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. Bible is a given. Tag 10 friends. 1. Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling (Not my favorite and yet this is what started me liking books) “Youll stay with me? Until the very end, said James.” 2. A Song of Ice and Fire, George R.R. Martin (I wouldnt suggest this to most people) “A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge.” 3. The Wheel of Time, Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson (Could be one of my favorite stories I have had the chance to read.) Loial, son of Arent, son of Halen, had secretly always wanted to be hasty. 4. The Lord of the Rings,J. R. R. Tolkien (I count the Silmarillion and The Hobbit in this.) “Moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars.” 5. King Arthur, Roger Lancelyn Green (I still remember when I was read the ending of this book. haha!) My brother Arthur brought it to me, 6. The Three Musketeers, Alexandre Dumas (I think I was in trouble for a whole week and used this to pass the time haha) “Never fear quarrels, but seek hazardous adventures.” 7. The Chronicles of Narnia, C. S. Lewis (Had to read this one again in order to appreciate it.) “Peter did not feel very brave; indeed, he felt he was going to be sick. But that made no difference to what he had to do.” 8. Unconditional Surrender, Gary North (I first read this when I was twelve. A very good read for Christians of all ages) Have you ever heard of a religion that isnt a way of life? 9. The Phantom Tollbooth, (Had to reread this too.) “So many things are possible just as long as you dont know theyre impossible.” 10. A Wrinkle in Time, Madeleine LEngle (I saw this in a movie after reading it a week later haha) Thinking Im a moron gives people something to feel smug about, Charles Wallace said. Why should I disillusion them?”
