Time for a quick outside of the religious box thought pertaining to a mental state of being. A state of mind generally considered to be floccinaucinihilipilification or in other words (worthless)....LOL I know, I thought that I would use it because it was a funny looking big word....lol. Anyway, the mental state Im going to quickly discuss is that of being cold hearted toward God, coldness towards Gods promises, towards Gods people or towards anything to do with God. Its a state of mind that causes us to draw away from the Lord. Why? Because on the inside of each of us we all have an understanding that the Mighty God who created heaven and earth is a consuming fire. He will melt our cold hearts. Cold hearted-ness is a state of mind one can easily slip into after loss, extreme hurt, pain, or disappointment. Coldness is sometimes a state of mind easily slipped into when one believes that he or she is doing a great work for religious reasons. (that one is real tricky) Many of us have been taught by religion that coldness is a dangerous place to be.... in our relationship with God. I have good news for all who have hearts which have become waxed cold. You are right in the place where God can work with you. Coldness toward God is actually one of the two best states of mind. God would rather we be hot or cold. The mystery is in understanding why. Seek The Lord and he will tell you why. God Bless!
