Time for a rant on Ukraine. Id say the coming war w Russia warrants it. First, big picture. How do these unwarranted military US launched incursions operate? With Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, & Afghanistan (all policy failures) as tangible examples, the real impetus is never disclosed. Instead its what can we spin to get Americans onboard? So we are told Iraq was involved in 911 and they have WMDs as an example. But its always official spin bullshit. Same with Ukraine. In Feb, the US assisted in overthrowing the democratically elected Yanukovych because he was pro-Russian and didnt go for EU and US pushed initiatives. Of course there were corruption allegations but the truth is every post Soviet regime there has been. So what did we expect from Putin in his own backyard when NATO expanded east and the US meddled? So in mid April, we fly our CIA Director Brennen to Kiev to meet with the Ukrainian PM and Deputy PM but of course we originally used a false ID and denied the visit. The very next week Ukraine moved militarily against Slovansk and have since been shelling the pro-Russian, anti- coup seperatists in Donetsk and Lugansk. Theyve been getting shelled by Kiev for 4 months. No power. No food. No aide from Kiev or the West.What did we expect from Putin? Hell yes he responded. The area is heavily ethnic Russian. We would do the same if a foreign power was meddling and Americans were in peril. So now Kiev conscripts are getting their asses kicked. Theyre losing important airports, strategic points and 5,000 are surrounded. Anytime Kiev losses territory and battles there will be screams about Russian involvement. Is Putin involved? Hell yes. How could anyone expect otherwise? So here we go again- another bullshit war on false pretenses. Because the powers cant tell us its what the neocons want, its about privatizing very fertile farmland for GMOs, BRICS dumping US subordination and the US dollar and our banksters. Watch the protests at the Thurs NATO meeting in Wales. Weve all got to stand up against this militarism, meddling and imperial overstretch.
