Time for a serious comment here. I have been sitting here thinking about all of the medical stuff I have been through since July and I course, looking at all the medical bills that have been coming in. I am truly thankful that we have health insurance because we would be up the creek without a paddle if we didnt. That being said - I know that there are many people out there with way more medical problems than mine and I sympathize with each and every one of them but that is not the point of my comment here. My point is this - every time I have to pay a medical bill I think about all those folks out there that dont have to pay. I do NOT in anyway begrudge anyone assistance if they need it but by golly we all know folks that are perfectly capable of working but because they can receive government assistance, they dont work. Its those folks that take advantage of the system that make folks like me and mine have to pay and pay and pay. Again, if assistance is needed then I hope the person is able to get it but living off the government and is hardworking taxpayers should NOT be a career. Is there a way to fix our system? I dont think so. We are too far gone and sorry, lazy folks have learned how to get too much for nothing.
