Time for a special bedtime story. It was 06/07/2014. The opening day of the Love Alaska Festival with Luis Palau. From the start of my day, I woke up and showered up. Then my stepfather gave me $40.00 to go out and eat somewhere. My mom has the car for CPR training, then called the house to see if anyone wants anything from Subway. My stepfather wanted something, but my half brother and I didnt want anything. Logged on facebook for like an hour, then head Village Inn for a late breakfast. I got done eating and got a text from Whitney J. OMalley asking me if Im coming to the Love Alaska Festival. I let her know Ill be on my way over. I forgot about how much parking theyll be so for the next 15 to 20 minutes, I searched for a spot. Found a parking with a lot of space which is right by the Centerpoint Building right by C Street. I arrived at the festival venue with no problems. I heard some music coming from the over the stone scaping and it was a live kids show. I watched a little bit of it and found Whitney behind my back waiting in line for some face painting activity. Whitney told me Vanessa and her finance Travis is coming over to join Whitney and I. They arrived when the Ventriliquist wrapped up his puppet show. After that we went to get some caramel apples. One with sprinkles and one with...CHOPPED NUTS. I bought the caramel apples for whitney, and for vanessa to share with Travis. Vanessa Easton went like all hour about those CHOPPED NUTS joke and also those round and point stick jokes. The four of us went back to the Face Painting station yet we had to deal with a long line. All of us got our face paitned except me. Just didnt feel like have any paint of my face. Also Vanessas parents made a pleasant appearance. I shook hands with her father even. We all moseyed on over to the main stage to check out the live acts. Travis and I were wandering where Vanessa and Whitney wandered off to so both called the girls to ask where they are. Whitney and Vanessa said they are close to the main stage just to enjoy to loud entertainment. For many hours, we enjoyed the musical styles of United Citywide Worship Band, The Love & Light Sisters, a special appearance by Bob Mortimer (The man with one right arm, no left arm and no legs from the electric pole accident many years ago), we enjoyed the holy sounds of Kutless, good ministering from Luis Palau, and to close the show Thousand Foot Krutch. Before Thousand Foot Krutch came up, I notice my pals werent around to check out the closing band. I called them both just to know where are they at. Instead, I had to enjoy Thousand Foot Krutch on my own. They played like two songs I know. Including my new favorite song, Fire It Up. Believe me, Thousand Foot Krutch played their perforamce loud enough for the whole block to hear. I didnt mind how loud it got, but thank God I did not go deaf. I went back to the car and drove off to the movies to see Edge Of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, even score a free small popcorn with the use of my Regal Crown Club Card. I waited in line at the concession stand knowing well that I was like ten minutes late of being seated for the movie. At the concession stand, I saw someone accident spilled some popcorn on the counter and the staff member did not have a broom on her. She brushed the popcorn behind the counter and probably will sweep it up later during closing. I got my free small popcorn and paid $5.50 for a medium fruit punch. I power walked over to the theater and got to the opening scenes of Edge of Tomorrow. After the movie, I went home. Logged on Facebook to post a few blogs, see some random Thousand Foot Krutch videos on Youtube. Fed my half brothers pet turtle, and went to bed. In closing, the whole Love Alaska Festival is a clear reminder that the Good Lord is king of everyone and he and his son Jesus will help you live through the days regardless what happens. We all have our problems yet the bible declares our lord will comfort us and solve our depression. Perhaps any of our problems along the way.
