Time for an Alex update!!! As always, I will also be updating on caringbridgeclassic.org/vt/alex/ so everyone can join in the fun. When I sent the first Facebook message out asking for cards for Alex’s 13th birthday, I KNEW that my close friends would be sure to send him some. I thought he would get a dozen or so cards, and have fun getting mail, feeling loved, and charting maps. Little did I know that the love would come POURING in and brighten all of our days with the wonderful people touching Alex’s life and sharing theirs with him. The original post has been shared 1279 times! Alex has received 72 cards from 24 states and FIVE countries (USA, Germany, Ireland, Canada and Japan)! And it all started with YOU my friends. Oh and it gets more amazing, this outreach to brighten the life of one little boy… I was contacted just moments ago by WCAX who said they would LOVE to do a story about this. Speechless!! I was discussing how truly good people are with a friend recently. I thanked her for sending Alex a card and she said something that has stuck with me. “Youre welcome” she said “but I owe the thanks to you for offering such a generous way to let people be awesome!” I am so very glad that all of you are enjoying the trip with Alex
