Time for an update on our feathered babies. As most of you - TopicsExpress

Time for an update on our feathered babies. As most of you know, birds are not our specialty although Terry is very good with larger birds and still learning with the little ones. As for me, I am hopeless with any size but am learning by watching, listening and asking questions and who knows, one day I might be good with birds as well. Remember Pinchy, the Nankeen Kestral that was brought in to us after the huge storm that hit this region of the outback a couple of weeks ago. Well, Pinchy has recovered well and will soon be released back to her own country. Well done, Terry. Now to the little Brown Falcon chick that was left on our doorstep a week ago. For this little chick to have any chance at survival we passed it over to a local lady, Christine Harnett, who appears to work magic. In Christines capable hands our tiny feathered friend has gone from being very weak, dehydrated and malnourished on arrival to thriving and has a huge appetite. Christines daughter has named it Jonah but if it turns out to be a female this will change to Joan. In the meantime Chris calls it The Abyss as she continuously feeds the bottomless pit. We thank Christine for her dedication and care of not just this precious little bird but also all the other animals she cares for. The following photographs have been supplied by Christine.
