Time for another Great Craft Room Cleanup challenge! How are you doing cleaning up and cleaning out in October? Click on Notes to see a document where Ive compiled all the challenges thus far. If you are like me, you hang on to lots of cards and little papercrafty things friends have given you... for weeks....months....years... they are faded, dusty, smushed, and really need to be tossed, but you continue to shift them from pile to pile. Those cards and objects bring you less and less joy over time. In fact, they often become a source of negativity after a while, as your space becomes overwhelmed and you feel like a failure for not being able to control the mess. Its time to quit hanging on to these things and give yourself permission to LET IT GO! Yes, I went there! Let it Go! Imagine a nice clean bulletin board with a couple of great cardfronts tacked in place. Or smooth, dust-less shelves with a few cute things artfully arranged. Wont that look and feel better when you enter your craft space? Todays task is to pick 10 cards, demo samples, or 3-D paper thingys you can bear to part with--and DO IT. If they can be repurposed, great. If were honest, most need to be pitched. TIP: I have an empty stamp case where I keep focal points--cute card elements that I have pulled off old cards and can potentially use as a scrabook motif or embellish a gift tag. its come in handy so many times when Im in a hurry.
