Time for bed Daves Chair time is 5:45 am for Dialysis. That means time to get up will be 3:30 am---- UGH! They are starting to use the Fistula on Monday. They used a small needle on Monday. Wednesday they will use a bigger needle and Friday they will use the big needle that they will use each time. They are creating what they call a button hole so they insert the needle in the same spot with different size needles. This procedure is called “New AVF Cannulation” I believe they start with a 17 gauge needle and work up from there.
