Time for facts as we bring Africa back home....the below link says: The Saqqara Bird is a bird-shaped artifact made of sycamore wood, discovered during the 1898 excavation of the Pa-di-Imen tomb in Saqqara, Egypt. It has been dated to approximately 200 BCE, and is now housed in the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo. The Saqqara Bird has a wingspan of 180 mm (7.1 in) and weighs 39.12 g (1.380 oz). Its function is not understood because of a lack of period documentation. ------------------------------------ We say there is an extremely rare bird like this that does not flap its wings but flies while gliding and its black. It looks like a crow or raven which flaps its wings and then glides etc but its not. This bird was sighted a few days ago in Malawi in the district of Mulanje and it is something extremely important. Hoping others will share oral or written stories about this bird...it does not flap its wings but flies with them straight as if gliding in circles, thanks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saqqara_Bird
